Our Story
HOW IT STARTED
Hi, I’m Michaela and I'm the founder of B & Me Botanicals. I've always struggled with dry skin... but in my mid twenties, it got to the point where I was willing to try or pay anything to fix it.
First, I discovered my popular (& expensive) skincare line had questionable ingredients, so I moved on to a different skincare line. These new products had clean ingredients and my skin started healing but the price was outrageously high… (like $100 for 1 oz. of face oil, high). That price just wasn’t sustainable for me. So I started learning and sourcing individual ingredients and tried making my own. I started testing out my own formulations in 2021. In 2022, I began learning about herbalism and using botanicals in my skincare.
In fall of 2022, I wanted to start a business to share my creations. The name "B & Me" (“baby & me”) popped into my head on a September day before I had any serious thoughts about a business name... (& less than 2 weeks before I found out I was pregnant with my first!) All I knew is I simply wanted to make products that were safe for my family (whether for myself, husband or babies). And, so... B & Me Botanicals was born!
Our name really encompasses the heart of our company - to thoughtfully create and offer products that are truly clean, safe, made with love, and affordable for both "Baby & Me."
