A quick story on how and why I started this business-
I started experimenting with my own homemade cosmetics in 2021 after I got fed up with paying SO much for great clean products (like $110-per-1-ounce-of-oil fed up). So, I sourced my own suppliers & ingredients, started testing my own formulas and was mind blown at how much I could save if I made them myself and how great my own formulas were compared to these fancy expensive products.
In 2022, I really focused on gardening and learning more about medicinal herbs and how I could incorporate them into my formulas. (p.s. did you notice the medicinal herbs in the blog post picture? Just a few of the botanicals that will be in some B & Me products! Yarrow, calendula and St John's Wort.)
This had turned into a lovely new hobby and I found so much joy sharing my lip balm and body butters with friends and family, getting their feedback and often talking their ears off about the ingredients and new things I was trying.
Toward the end of 2022, I had thought about starting a little side business to share and sell my products and I also became pregnant with my first child. Before I had even so much as thought of a business name, one day in September the name "B & Me" popped into my head... (My husband and I had been trying to start our family so it had been on my mind. Little did I know, I was pregnant!)
I was thinking... I just want to make and sell products that are truly clean, safe, thoughtfully made with love, and affordable for both "Baby & Me..." and I feel like other people might want that, too. And so, B & Me Botanicals was born ❤️

Currently, I'm 6.5 months pregnant with my daughter, will close on the sale of my home of 8.5 years on April 1st, continue packing during the month of April, will close on the sale of my new home April 26th... why not throw in launching a new business to the mix?! Oh, and did I mention I already work full-time as a software developer? 🤪
For the business, I'm setting up the online store, finalizing my launch products & ingredients, waiting on my first 'large-to-me' supply order, making sure all tax and business accounts are set up, and configuring packing / shipping supplies and logistics.
I know it might sound crazy to start a new business when I've got so much going on, but it just felt like the right time to do this thing. And I'm so excited to get started! If you're still reading after all that, thanks for being here and caring about my story. I can't wait for this new adventure and to create some amazing skin goodness to share with you!

I love the healing salve. I’ve had a small, dry and often itchy patch of skin near my ankle for over a decade, dr says due to an auto immune issue. This product has softened this area and soothes in seconds! The first time I used it I was truly amazed after putting up with the irritation for years!
